Equal Opportunities Policy
It is the intention of Revolve Fitness International to offer equal opportunities to all, regardless of status, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation or race. This policy incorporates the organisation's commitment to treating all fairly and respectfully and to setting systems in place designed to provide the greatest possible access to equal opportunities.
Learning Support Policy
Every effort will be made to support candidates appropriately on their course. Candidates with learning difficulties will have every effort made to ensure that they feel confident enough to disclose a disability and express a need for support. Enrolment forms are completed by all candidates and each is asked to say whether they consider themselves to have a disability and whether they feel they need support. This information is used by the company who will consider the content when undertaking their lesson planning, room lay out, etc. Tutors session plans should be revised ahead of a course to include assessments, appropriate teaching strategies, adaptation of materials, etc in light of the identification of any learning disability in order to maximise each individual learner’s success. This is monitored through the learner feedback form.
Assessment Policy
Assessment is a vital part of the learning and teaching process. In addition to providing a measure of the candidates achievement, it also provides information that assists both the company and candidates in the ongoing improvement of the learning and teaching process. To contribute to both of these functions, it is essential that assessment:
- Is fair and ensures parity of treatment and comparable assessment demands in subjects of equal level and credit;
- Is reliable, ensuring that assessment decisions are made consistently throughout the company
- Is valid, by ensuring that each assessment relates to the intended outcomes of the subject(s) studied;
- Is transparent, in that it is clear to candidates and staff the criteria and methods by which candidates work is being assessed.
- Recognises and respects equality and diversity.
